About

NightSky Capital

Firm history

NightSky was launched in 2020 by Aidan Hussain, CFA, with the goal of developing institutional-caliber quantitative investment strategies designed to eliminate the influence of human bias in the investment selection and portfolio construction processes. The firm's approach draws on more than a decade of research and exploration by Anjum T. Hussain, CFA, including work conducted during his tenure at prominent university endowments.

Building on this foundation, Aidan developed NightSky’s flagship U.S. Large Cap strategy in the summer following his high school graduation. The firm's initial clients consisted primarily of friends and family, several of whom elected to allocate a substantial portion of their retirement assets to strategies developed by NightSky.

Since inception, NightSky has grown to approximately $2.8 million of assets under management. As of Q3 2025, the firm's two proprietary strategies have both outperformed their respective benchmarks, net of fees, since their inception:

In addition, both the US Large Cap and US Small Cap strategies have been implemented and traded internally at a large single-family office.
